Lindsey and Craig

I’ve known Lindsey for a while as she is a friend of my Sister-in-Law.  She is one of those radiantly beautiful people inside and out.  I had only met Craig a handful of times, but luckily had a chance to get to know him better on their engagement shoot.  They are a really sweet couple with an amazing friendship.  It was a pleasure to be a part of their special day.

Baby Charlotte

Baby Charlotte was such a trooper.  She stayed awake for the entire time we were there, and really only cried once when she was in a basket she obviously didn’t like very much.  The closest thing I got to a sleeping baby picture, was actually only a captured blink…lol.  Anyway, here are just a few from the day.

Baby Jillian

My good friend was kind enough to let me go along to a newborn session with her today.  I hadn’t had a chance to do a newborn yet with my new D700 camera and I wanted to test out its low light capabilities. 

Baby Jillian was kind enough to stay awake for most of the session, and what a sweet little baby she is!  She has a big sister who has got to be one of the happiest, well-behaved 2 year olds I have ever met.  It was a pleasure to meet the whole family, and to get to capture this precious time in their lives.  Here are just a few of my favorites.

 

 

The Torbits

I met my friend’s family at the park this Saturday for some beautiful fall pictures.  Unfortunately the trees weren’t as colorful in the park we chose as we had hoped, but we made the best of it.  It was a beautiful day and it was so nice to be outside.  Thank you Torbits for allowing me to photograph your beautiful family.

 

Picture quality

Previously written on blogspot blog:  I just began to notice a quality loss in pictures I was posting here. I did a google search and apparently other people are noticing the same thing. I am highly aggravated about this as this blog is a place for me to show my work..not this blurry grainy junk they are doing to my pictures. Ug.

Update: I have moved my site to wordpress.  Not as thrilled with the look, but at least from now on when I post pictures, I know they will look how they should.  For posts prior to this one, the pictures transfered from blogspot with the blog, so the quality is still a little off.  From here on out, however, it should all be good to go.

Cassie: Senior 2010

Cassie is our favorite-est babysitter in the world. We love her to pieces and are so happy she has been a part of our lives. I was excited to shoot her senior pictures a few weeks ago, and here are a few.

        

 

 

Venus in Flames Fire Troupe

A fellow photographer and friend received a request to photograph some fire dancers recently. As it was something new to both of us, she asked if I wanted to come along and do it together. Here are a few of my shots from the night. This is the Venus in Flames Fire Troupe, St. Louis MO.

Christine and Mark’s sneak peek. :-)

I first met Christine over 10 years ago. She is the little sister of an old friend of mine. A tid bit of history…the night I met my husband, we had exchanged looks and maybe even a few words, but that was about all that happened when everyone in my group decided they wanted to leave the place we were at. I really wanted to get to know my husband more, but I felt I had no choice but to leave till I saw Christine walk by me. I told her what was going on and without hesitation she agreed to drive me home later (which was a HAUL for her then), and as a result my husband asked for my number and here were are happily married 9 years later. THANK YOU Christine!!

I’m not sure exactly when Christine met Mark, but through the years we’ve seen them at barbecues, other get togethers, and occasionally out and about. They have such an amazing amount of love for one another, and a strong friendship that you can just see by watching them together. I was so excited when I heard they had gotten engaged, because they are just one of those couples that you know are meant to be from the very beginning. It was truly an honor to be included in their special day. Here are just a few pics from their wedding and reception.
